Compassion and People

When people usually talk about compassion, love, and ideas like that, they somehow fail to see the profound meaning that was supposed to mean what it is supposed to mean. Usually, they tend to forget the basic idea about these teachings; they read it in books or hear it from someone like their beloved guru and completely forget to understand why it was said in the first place, and therefore, as a consequence, completely ignore the ideas of others.

The beauty of these old teaching, they were told in such a profound way; when you look at them, it gives you so many meanings in so many contexts. When you look at this world, there is more than one way to achieve the same things, there is more than one way to reach the destination, and there is more than a single face to the same truth.

The problem arises when we tend to think that our interpretations are the only ones that are good enough. Buddha said, it is not the path that is important, but rather the destination is what matters. Some can reach it by their own means; some require others to point the path, but again they can only point; you shall walk the path itself.

One must learn to accept the ideas of others, for this world or nature is too big to have only your ideas be true.

There is also another problem altogether: some ideas are way deeper and hence reach some profound levels than other ideas, but how could one possibly understand which idea is better than others? Well, if you cannot accept hearing about others’ ideas and their ability to think about them, how could you possibly know?

Be simple, be gentle, and always peace, smiles, and happiness!
